One Condition

"Can you believe him?" the Avatar says as she walks with her best friend, Bolin. She stuffs another dumpling in her mouth, still fuming about the hot headed firebender. Bolin just laughs it off.

"He's like that. You knew when you decided to go out with him." He states matter-of-factly which only causes the Avatar more annoyance.

"Whose side are you on Bolin?"

"How could I ever pick between my best friend and my brother, Korra?" Bolin says feigning shock at the suggestion. Korra just rolls her eyes at him.

"I just don't understand him Bo. First he's all happy that I got us into the finals and next thing you know, he's yelling at me to pick up some slack." The earthbender shakes his head and hands her another dumpling.

"You know he's just nervous. I mean, if we win this, we won't have to rely on Toza anymore. We'd be able to support ourselves and most importantly, he'd be able to support you." Korra blushes at the truth of the last part. She and Mako have had a complicated relationship to say the least. Mako was with Asami at the time and Bolin had a little more than a crush on her. It was a difficult road for them. Then Mako had told her once they win the tournament, he would be with her. Bolin was upset about the development between the two, but eventually he was able to let his feelings go so they could be together. But still, as much as she loved the idea of being with the firebender, he sometimes got to be too much for her to handle.

She let out an aggravated sigh and was surprised to feel a pair of arms wrap around her.

"He's just so difficult Bolin."

"Yeah, he is. But so are you Miss Avatar."

"Where have you been? We've got a lot to work on if we're going to beat the Wolf bats." Mako yells at her right when she enters the training room. Instead of their usual routine of arguments and insults they yell at each other, Korra runs straight to her love and wraps her arms around his torso. "K- Korra?"

"You know Mako, you are so frustrating. You're stubborn and a jerk face and you don't know how to give compliments and-"

"Are you going somewhere with this?" he asks with annoyance.

"The point is I'm not the only one with faults. Whether it's with Pro-Bending or life in general, we all have something we need to improve on and I'm willing to work on my faults if you're willing to work on yours." The firebender was silent and as normal as it was, it scared her, that is until he held her in return and kissed the top of her head.

"I will on one condition." He says softly. "Until I improve, can you love me with all my faults?" Korra laughs and kisses him lightly on the lips.

"I already do."
